Our current high resolution aerial imagery, obtained through custom acquisition or through our extensive KASView library, helps energy transmission companies monitor rights-of-way for incursions, while region-wide image mosaics help these same companies select routes for new transmission corridors.

Local, state, and federal agencies apply our aerial imagery towards a wide variety of essential government services. Aerial survey imagery, processed into ortho-imagery and regional mosaics, form the key component of GIS land bases. In turn, GIS land bases are relied upon by water and wastewater utilities, land use planners, property assessors, public safety and emergency services providers, and transportation engineers.

Because of its high resolution, library imagery can be a cost effective solution to local governments looking to create or update their GIS land base. The availability of the near infrared band in our digital imagery means that it can also be applied for impervious surface analysis by stormwater utilities and for urban green space inventory by foresters. Federal agencies rely on our imagery for land use inventories, crop land assessment, coastal monitoring, and disaster assessment and response.

Service to the photogrammetric mapping industry has long been Keystone’s core business. We fly precise stereo imagery and simultaneously collect airborne GPS and IMU data to support photogrammetric rectification. Whether digital or film, we can provide the raw image materials you need to compile vector mapping or generate ortho-images.

With our fleet of 19 survey aircraft, we are able to respond quickly to brief windows of suitable weather. And with our UltraCam digital mapping cameras, we integrate with your in-house processes to achieve an efficient and highly accurate all-digital workflow. Our UltraCams also offer added value with the availability of the near infrared band and 16-bit image depth. In the hands of experienced photogrammetrists, this multispectral data and rich bit-depth support advanced image analysis and feature extraction.

With contemporary stereo coverage of nearly 300 US cities, our digital image library is a cost-effective alternative to new image acquisition. Most digital library imagery is flown with ABGPS and IMU at GSD’s of 15cm or 30cm. The image library is accessible through our web portal, KASView, which makes it easy to identify and order the specific images covering your project area. For projects having stringent image collection requirements, custom acquisition flights can be scheduled to obtain data that meets your exact specifications.

Keystone’s Rapid Response solution provides insurers with timely image-based information following large-scale disaster events. The solution combines high resolution aerial image data with property parcel data into useful analysis tools that allow insurers to view otherwise inaccessible areas, conduct initial damage assessments, and begin the claims investigation process.

Key to the solution is our ability to rapidly assess a storm threat, pre-position an aircraft, acquire the imagery, process the data, and deliver. For example, in responding to Hurricane Ike, a Keystone aircraft was on station in Texas a day prior to landfall. Imagery was acquired within 48 hours of landfall, and the processed imagery was available for FTP download the following afternoon.

For real estate professionals, Keystone produces current high-resolution regional image mosaics that depict existing development patterns, transportation networks, retail centers, and areas of developable land. Our library of current imagery, covering nearly 300 US cities, provides an off-the-shelf solution that saves time and money compared to custom acquisition flights. And, with resolutions as high as 15cm, our library imagery is significantly more resolute than most off-the-shelf solutions.

Keystone can also combine imagery with GIS data layers such as transportation networks, slope, census and demographic data, and flood plains. This combination of imagery and data supports powerful GIS analysis for site selection. To help market new or existing real estate projects, our large-format aerial image enlargements are compelling presentation and sales tools.

Keystone provides several solutions for environmental applications. Our digital, film and LiDAR sensors can be used for power line sway surveys, to detect power transmission loss for customers such as industrial facilities and universities.

Environmental investigators depend on our library of historic aerial imagery to research changes in land use over time, and to determine the origins of environmental impacts. Custom acquisition flights provide imagery for contemporary studies and continued monitoring. Because our digital mapping cameras collect data in both the visible and near infrared, we can create image products that help environmental scientists detect and evaluate plant stress from either natural and man-made impacts.
